Mapping 1901 & 2011

It goes a little fast in the beginning, but after you fly in from space you can control the zoom features. Make sure to look at all the little details on the 1901 map-- on Amherst Street you can find the West Entrance to the Expo; or you can see where the New York State Building is (it's the little red building slightly below Nottingham Terrace). Take a tour through the Expo, looking at it from a historical perspective as well as a present one!

  1. Thanks so much for this map (Impressive to say the least). I lead walking tours of Lincoln Parkway for Buffalo Tours and used your map to answer one of the tour questions posted on the editable spreadsheet referenced below. Feel free to add/edit as appropriate.

  2. Hello Ron, I'm so glad my project helped. It's ironic because I have always been interested in taking one of the Lincoln Pkwy tours-- maybe I'll see you soon! If you need help with anything, such as some assistance in researching the questions listed on your spreadsheet, I would be more than happy to help.
